Meadow Gold Dairies and the University of Hawai’i Bands will be hosting the 9th Annual Meadow Gold High School Junior & Senior Night. This event will allow high school students to experience what college band and color guard life will be like by spending the day with the Rainbow Warrior Marching Band and cheer our UH Football Team to victory. Students will have the opportunity to join the performances at the T.C. Ching Field, hang out with current UH Band members, and learn about all the amazing opportunities that our university band has to offer. Students from nearly 20 high schools participate in this event. Please join us!
WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS BRING
Yourself, your instrument, and the music provided prior to the event.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Clear Bag, Jacket, Water bottle, instrument lyre.
COST
This event is free to all high school Junior and Senior students who are in good standing with their high school band programs.
INCLUDED
Attendees will receive a free t-shirt, dinner, admittance to the UH game, and will have the opportunity to perform with the band at halftime.

12:45 PM – Meet at UH Music Department
1:00 PM – Rehearsal at Clarence T.C. Ching Athletic Complex
1:15 PM – Welcome (Sectionals with UH Band Members)
1:45 PM – Full Group Music Rehearsal
2:15 PM – On Field
3:00 PM – Pregame Rehearsal (UH Band)
3:30 PM – Rehearsal Pau
Go back up to Music Department – Distribution of Shirts, Bentos & Water will be provided
5:15 PM – Head back down to Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex
5:40 PM – Pregame Performance (UH Band)
6:00 PM – Kickoff vs. Northern Iowa
7:30 PM – Halftime Performance – “Disco”
10:00 PM – Football Game PAU

Rainbow Invitational
Marching Band Festival for High School Bands
Vision
Meadow Gold Dairies and the University of Hawai’i Bands will be hosting the 43nd Annual Rainbow Invitational, a Marching Band Festival for High School Bands to display their skills. The event is fun, noncompetitive, and a chance for high school bands to experience the accomplishments of other bands and receive feedback from the UH Bands. Nearly 20 high school bands participate in this annual event. We will be featuring the University of Hawai’i Rainbow Warrior Marching Band, and a guest musician will run a music clinic. Please join our event.
History
Since 1979, the University of Hawaiʻi Rainbow Warrior Marching Band has been proud to offer this unique opportunity for high school marching bands to gather in a non-competitive setting to display their skills and accomplishments.

Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex
POLICIES
The University of Hawai‘i has adopted a Clear Bag Policy in order to improve public safety within Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
Attendees may bring in one (1) clear bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and are limited to one clear bag per person. Exceptions include 5.5″ x 8.5″ clutch purse or 3″ x 4″ clutch purse.
Stroller parking will be available inside the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex
Strollers will not be allowed in the stands.

- All Bags that are larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- Backpack, Purse, Camera Bag, Binoculars Case, Fanny Pack, Printed Pattern Plastic Bag (exception: 5.5″ x 8.5″ Clutch Purse or 3″ x 4″ Clutch Purse)

- Illegal Drugs
- Reusable Bottles (i.e. Hydro Flask, Takeya, Yeti, Thermos, etc)
- Umbrellas
- Coolers
- Alcohol
- Pets (except service animals)
